Heel & Toe was introduced to ICG back in 2022, following huge media coverage around young people suffering neurological disorders. On visiting the Heel & Toe centres, and meeting some of the staff and children – we were really touched and moved by the amazing work carried out by the charity. An even bigger emotional impact was the difference it made to the parents of these children, and the support and hope it gave them.
It was immediately apparent that this charity fitted with ICGs vision and values and somewhere we could make a big difference!
Being in the healthcare sector providing professional workforces within Integrated Care services, we understand how hard it is to attract quality staff. When meeting with the Heel & Toe team it was evident, they all worked so hard, to also make a difference for the children and their parents. It was then we felt an immediate affinity with the charity and made the decision to work with them
Based in the Northeast and started in 2008, Heel and Toe provide a range of therapies to children with physical disabilities and complex needs. They were started due to a primary reason that continues to drive them today.
This was: “That no child should be denied therapy due to a lack of money”
Today they have helped over 100 children ranging in age from 6 months to 19 years of age. The charity has 2 centres: including five treatment rooms a sensory room, and a Hydrotherapy Centre
ICG are proud to donate 5p for every hour worked by an ICG candidate. In addition to these donations, we have also with great pleasure funded a sensory bubble wall for one of the centres.
